Ruta 40 winds its way through most of Argentina and is known internationally as one of the world’s classic road trips.  Join us for an incredible two-week fly fishing trip where we combine some of the best fishing in Argentina from both the northern and southern regions.  We are timing the trip in Patagonia during early summer when all the rivers are fresh, hatches are starting and fish are eager to eat!  We have taken a particularly trouty section of Ruta 40 from Esquel in the south to San Martin de los Andes in the north.  We will be fishing along the entire way with our good friends from El Encuentro Fly Fishing and Patagonia Nomads.

The Jardines is considered one of the best and most well preserved ecosystems in all of the Caribbean, it was established as a marine reserve by Fidel Castro many years ago under the urging of his amigo Jacques Cousteau. Its distance from the mainland has kept it protected from Cuban and international fishing vessels and it is a remarkable environment. The reefs here are spectacular and are well known for diving as well as fishing. This is one of the best locations in the world to fly fish for tarpon and this week is in the middle of high season.
