Flying:
The West Yellowstone Airport (WYS) is open from June1st to September 30th. One can fly Sky West, a subsidiary of Delta Airlines, directly into West Yellowstone and then rent a car if needed. If you are fishing everyday with Big Sky Anglers and staying in West Yellowstone, you will not need a car for transportation. However, there are places to rent a car if needed.

The Gallatin Airfield (BZN) located between Bozeman and Belgrade, MT is the area’s largest airport. Northwest, Delta, Horizon and Skywest all have daily flights in and out of the Gallatin Airfield. Driving from Bozeman:

Turn RIGHT onto MT-205/FRONTAGE RD. Continue to follow MT-205.

Turn LEFT onto MT-291/JACKRABBIT LN.
Continue to follow JACKRABBIT LN.

JACKRABBIT LN becomes US-191. End at West Yellowstone <82 miles>

Driving from Jackson Hole:
There two ways to get to West Yellowstone from Jackson. While this second route is longer, it’s is usually quicker.

The first takes you through Yellowstone National Park:

Start out going NORTH on N CENTER ST toward E DELONEY AVE.

Turn LEFT onto E DELONEY AVE.

Turn RIGHT onto N CACHE DR/US-191/US-89/US-189/US-26. Continue to follow US-191 N/US-89 N/US-26 E. <30.1 miles>

Turn LEFT onto US-287 N/US-191 N/US-89 N (Portions may be closed seasonally). <81.9 miles>
